Commercial Director
Our client, a fintech company specialized in providing financial and information services to leading retailers leveraging latest mobile, data, and cloud technologies usually called as BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), that is starting its operation in Bulgaria, is looking for a Commercial Director.
If you are an energetic and proactive person, who works with passion and is ready to start building a new business from a scratch; and you have:
- 5+ years of experience in consumer financial services, e-commerce, retail in management and business development roles
- Experience and relationships in modern Bulgarian retail, especially in the key target segments (fashion, footwear, cosmetics, kids wear, toys, sportswear, food/grocery, etc)
- Senior executive presence and communication skills, inc. experience with key account negotiations and structuring partnerships
- Entrepreneurial mindset, passion for technology, innovation, building new businesses
- Strong people leadership and integrity, passion for recruiting people, building teams
- Extensive professional/business network in Bulgaria
- Strong analytic capability and problem-solving skills
- Focus on results
- Fluent English
If you believe you can:
- Lead the introduction of new offline and online merchant partnerships aligned with the company’s business strategy in segments such as fashion, footwear, kids, cosmetics, sports, electronics, furniture, DIY, travel, healthcare and others
- Propose and develop new strategic partnerships with offline and/or online payment providers (PSPs), e-commerce platforms and guide long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements
- Develop relationships with prospects to ensure an excellent pipeline is maintained
- Lead negotiations of commercial terms with key partners and ensure quick and successful onboarding and roll out at new partners’ stores and expansion of cooperation once partners have been onboarded
- Serve as a key member of our team, providing insight into customer needs and preferences, competitor movements, and industry trends based on market feedback
- Develop and execute sales plans and forecasts
- Build a team of sales executives responsible for introducing and expanding partnerships
And you are ready to start to:
- Build a strong pipeline of retailers in Bulgaria to become our partners
- Develop strategic partnerships with key PSPs/e-commerce platforms in Bulgaria
- Perform market research and analysis of competition
- Introduce and negotiate launch of the company’s services with at least 5 new strategic offline and/or online partners
- Strengthen the team to support expansion of the business in Poland
- Build a strong understanding the company’s products and solutions, their key differentiators vs. competition, benefits for partners
