Assembly Operations Team Leader

Operations & Team Leadership

• Manage the daily operations of the assembly area to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines
• Responsible for the overall organization, control, and operational planning of production processes and the allocation of assembly teams
• Lead and support shift supervisors and production operators, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities, and develop their skills
• Apply company regulations and maintain discipline and order in the workplace

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure team compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as standard operating procedures
• Monitor performance indicators and OEE (productivity, quality, downtime), analyze results and take corrective actions when needed
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in the implementation of new projects
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues related to processes, materials, and machines
• Prepare and maintain daily production reports, documentation, and staff schedules

Qualifications

• Completed higher education; a technical degree will be considered an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in production or assembly management, preferably in the automotive industry or a related field
• Experience leading teams, motivating staff, and enforcing discipline and workplace standards
• English language proficiency at a very good level

Required Skills

• Knowledge and practical experience with Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED)
• Thorough understanding of production planning, workflow, and quality control in assembly environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Good computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience working with ERP systems
