Horizons Bulgaria Ltd was initially set up as a daughter company of JordanSheppard Bulgaria in 2003

to cover the mid and expert level hiring needs of our clients.

JordanSheppard Bulgaria was established in early 2003 as part of the JordanSheppard International  (international executive search player with global operations) as this was the original name of the local company.  Headquartered in Sofia, the company was operating on a regional level including own offices in Romania and Serbia and also participating in projects for Czech, Poland and Hungary. For the next 9 years JordanSheppard focused on the Balkans and became a market leader in executive search in Bulgaria with own representations in Bucharest and Belgrade.

During the period 2005-2008, Horizons activities were growing fast on a national scale to the level of one of the leading and biggest recruitment agencies in Bulgaria via opening offices in all the major cities in the country and investing in new services and businesses in the field of HR – training (Horizons Development, Ascent Bulgaria),  organizational development and diagnostics (HumanSynergistics Bulgaria), payroll (Prospectus Business Services), staff leasing (Horizons Staff Leasing), recruitment software (Sincron SW), HR outsourcingг (HR Manager™), etc.

From 2005  to 2011, companies activities in the field of recruitment have been covered by two separate brands according to the role level, the type of services and consultant expertise required:

  • Horizons – search & selection recruitment for expert and middle management
  • JordanSheppard – headhunting / executive search for top management

From 2012 , the company is operating independently under the brand of Horizons with main office in Sofia and representations in Rouse (covering Northern Bulgaria) and Plovdiv (covering Southern Bulgaria) and affiliate partnerships in Romania and Serbia.

Horizons now is a leading recruitment agency in Bulgaria that specializes in complex recruitment solutions supporting national hiring campaigns and adopting pro-active and innovative staffing methodologies.
