Horizons Bulgaria was established in 2003 as a subsidiary of JordanSheppard International, with the aim of meeting clients’ needs for recruitment at expert and middle management levels. Initially founded as part of an international executive search company with a global presence, Horizons Bulgaria quickly established itself as a leader in the executive search services market in Bulgaria and the region.
REGIONAL EXPANSION AND MARKET LEADERSHIP
Based in Sofia, Horizons Bulgaria initially operated on a regional level with its own offices in Romania and Serbia, and participation in projects in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary. Over the next nine years, the company’s focus shifted to the Balkans, where it established itself as a market leader in executive search in Bulgaria.
NATIONAL EXPANSION AND NEW SERVICES
Between 2005 and 2008, Horizons Bulgaria rapidly developed on a national level, becoming one of the leading and largest recruitment agencies in Bulgaria by opening offices in the largest cities across the country. The company invested in various new services and businesses in the field of human resources.
BRAND EVOLUTION AND CONSULTING EXPERTISE
From 2005 to 2011, the company’s recruitment activities were conducted under two separate brands depending on the level, type of service, and required consulting expertise: Horizons Bulgaria, which specialized in standard recruitment (search & selection recruitment) for expert and middle management levels, and Horizons Executive Search, which offered headhunting (headhunting/executive search) services for top management, with a special focus on identifying and attracting leaders capable of managing strategic and operational changes, ensuring sustainable growth and competitive advantage for the organizations we serve.

Since 2012, Horizons Bulgaria has operated as an independent and leading recruitment agency headquartered in Sofia, with offices in Ruse (serving Northern Bulgaria) and Plovdiv (serving Southern Bulgaria). The company continues to build strong partnerships in Romania and Serbia, establishing itself as a reliable partner for its clients.
