Frequently asked questions

Salary Benchmarking Report FAQ

Key information about the report scope, market percentiles, international comparisons and use of the results.

What is salary benchmarking?

Salary benchmarking compares compensation for a defined role against relevant labour-market evidence. A useful benchmark considers seniority, specialisation, industry, location and work model.

What do P10, P50 and P90 mean?

P10 is a lower-market reference, P50 is the median and P90 is an upper-market reference. P25 and P75 complete the distribution.

Does the report show total employer cost?

Yes. It includes estimated net salary, gross salary, employee deductions, employer statutory contributions and total employer cost under the assumptions stated in the report.

Can I compare salaries between countries?

Yes. Choose one, three or five markets at a fixed price. A Custom Report can cover up to ten markets. Monetary results are presented in EUR.

Can one report include several positions?

No. Each report and listed price cover one defined position. Create a separate report for another role.

Is the report payroll, tax or legal advice?

No. It is decision-support research based on available evidence and disclosed assumptions. Confirm final decisions with a qualified local specialist.

What if the country I need is not active?

Use the request option beside an inactive country in the tool or contact Horizons for a tailored proposal.
