About the role
Lead a resort. Develop its business.
Our client is an operational apartment resort combining hospitality services with the management of apartments owned by the company and individual owners. We are seeking an experienced Resort General Manager to take overall responsibility for its operations, commercial performance, guest experience and owner service.
The successful candidate should be a strong, hands-on leader who can build and manage a capable team, establish effective systems and procedures, and develop the resort as a successful hospitality business.
Key responsibilities
What you will lead
Operations, people & service
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the resort and its hospitality and property management services.
- Manage and coordinate reception, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, security, food and beverage, and property management.
- Recruit, train and develop department heads and staff. The ability to bring trusted, experienced team members would be an advantage.
- Establish standard operating procedures, reporting systems and quality controls across departments.
- Set and maintain high standards of guest service and communication with apartment owners.
- Improve communication and efficiency between departments and resolve operational issues promptly.
Commercial performance & property
- Prepare operational budgets, control costs and report regularly to ownership on performance and key indicators.
- Oversee reservations, sales channels, pricing and revenue performance, working with the relevant internal team and external partners.
- Develop relationships with tour operators and support the planning of future resort services and seasons.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, contractors, suppliers, health and safety, and the upkeep of the property.
Experience & qualifications
Who we are looking for
Leadership & industry experience
- At least five years of senior operational management experience in a hotel, resort or aparthotel; experience leading an entire property is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, reservations, revenue management, guest service and financial control.
- Experience managing a substantial team and developing department managers.
- An understanding of apartment or property management and relations with individual owners would be an advantage.
Education & languages
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred. Candidates with significant relevant management experience will also be considered.
- Excellent English is essential. Bulgarian and other languages, including Greek or Russian, would be advantages.
Systems knowledge
Technology that supports smooth operations
The candidate should be comfortable using property management systems, booking and reservation systems, channel managers, OTAs, point of sale systems, Microsoft Office and management reporting tools.
Experience with Clock PMS would be particularly valuable; experience with Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds, Fidelio or similar systems is also relevant.

We are looking for someone organised, commercially minded and attentive to detail, who can make decisions, solve problems and lead by example. They must communicate well with staff, guests, owners and external partners.
