DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:

In this position the professional will be a part of the Web/Middleware team to build and operate a large, hybrid IT platform, to support thousands of critical business applications. The current environment spans across 2 data centers, AWS, Azure, and O365. The DevOps engineer is expected to utilize modern, infrastructure as code tools like Chef, Terraform, Azure Devops, and Splunk to build and maintain solutions across the web and middleware platforms.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in AWS or Azure
  Cloud or DevOps.
• Experience developing code for automation in Python.
• Experience in at least one of the following IT areas: Containers, .Net, Tomcat, Apache, Web Server, Load Balancer.
• Experience in at least one of the following IT areas: Linux, Windows.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems and analyze the root cause.

Primary Responsibilities:

• To work as part of a team to engineer, implement and operate scalable, highly available platforms on-premises and in the Cloud.
• To write code for automation of various aspects of web and middleware management.
• To troubleshoot technical issues.
• To identify opportunities for innovation.
