Business Development Manager

Our client is a leading, pan-EMEA distributor, specializing in total cybersecurity solutions, secure networks and secure cloud solutions. We are looking for a professional to join their teams as a Business Development Manager. Business Development in IT Security Distribution involves driving growth, building relationships, and expanding the reach of the IT security products and services within the market.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify the right partners, challenges, and opportunities in the IT security sector;
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to understand key players, pricing models, and market dynamics;
  • Develop a strategic plan for expanding your distribution network and increasing market share in the IT security domain;
  • Set clear goals, targets, and milestones for business development efforts;
  • Identify potential partners, resellers, system integrators, and value-added resellers (VARs) within the IT security space;
  • Develop a deep understanding of the IT security products and services you are distributing;
  • Provide training and product education to partners, enabling them to effectively sell and support the offerings;
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics related to partner engagement, sales, and market trends;
  • Provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders.

Requirements for the role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An MBA can be advantageous;
  • Fluent Professional English (written & spoken);
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the relevant industry;
  • Strong understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape;
  • Proven track record in sales, lead generation, and closing deals;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and industry stakeholders;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective negotiation and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals;
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address challenges and find creative solutions;
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools, including CRM systems and data analytics.

In this role, primary focus is to drive revenue growth, establish strong partnerships, and position your organization as a trusted source of IT security solutions in the distribution channel. Effective communication, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the IT security landscape are essential for success.
