Our client is a global leader in the alternative energy sector, implementing modern technologies and innovative solutions across a growing portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects including PV, BESS, and hybrid assets.
The company is currently seeking an experienced Bidding Engineer to join their Bidding & Contracting Department and support business development and tendering activities at an international scale.
About the role
Bidding Engineer
As a Bidding Engineer, you will play a key role in securing new projects by managing the full bidding cycle — from receiving RFQs and tender documents to submitting complete, competitive, and compliant offers. You will work closely with the design team and interact directly with clients through meetings, site visits, and presentations.
Key responsibilities
What you will do
Bid Preparation & Coordination
- Receive, review, and analyze RFQs, tenders, and bidding documents from clients
- Study technical, commercial, and contractual requirements and identify risks and opportunities
- Coordinate with the design team to prepare the technical part of the offer in line with client specifications
- Prepare pricing, cost estimates, and commercial offers in coordination with internal teams
- Ensure all bids are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines
Offer Submission
- Compile and submit full offer packages including technical proposals, commercial and financial offers, and company profiles
- Prepare references and documents demonstrating the company’s technical and financial capabilities
Client Engagement & Site Activity
- Attend client meetings, clarification sessions, negotiations, and presentations
- Conduct site visits and business trips as required
- Support contract clarifications and handover to project execution teams after award
Requirements
Who we are looking for
Experience & Background
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field)
- Experience in bidding, tendering, or proposal engineering, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or EPC projects
- Good understanding of solar PV systems and engineering documentation
- Experience in pricing and cost estimation is an advantage
- Familiarity with tendering procedures and basic contract terms
Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of English — written and spoken
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings
